Adopt a Learner
Sponsor a young person to train with Lintons Academy: tuition, a starter kit, mentorship and placement support from their very first day.
Every program turns four decades of beauty expertise into real skills, dignified work and second chances for youth, women and the communities around them.
Each program tackles a different barrier to dignified work, from access and confidence to industry-ready skills and second chances.
Our outcomes are clear and consistent because of a roadmap that guides every touchpoint in the Lintons Foundation pipeline, translating growing demand for beauty skills into employability, entrepreneurship and long-term income for young women and youth.
Theory of change
Providing skilling and employment access to African women and youth through vocational beauty training, dual apprenticeships and entrepreneurship pathways, for more sustainable and dignified income.
The opportunity
Growing demand for beauty and digital skills, youth eager to earn from the creator economy, and scalable beauty brands venturing into and out of Africa.
The impact
Increased employability and job creation, stronger financial inclusion through micro-entrepreneurs, and the formalisation of the beauty industry.
We deliver transformation through five connected stages, from first training day to a thriving, independent livelihood.
Intensive vocational programs designed to cultivate technical proficiency, workplace professional standards, and essential soft and digital skills. This broad skill set ensures graduates have diverse income opportunities.
Trainees undergo rigorous testing against industry-recognised standards (NITA and ICM accredited) and earn official certification on completion, validating their skills for prospective employers and clients.
A robust support system focuses on three pathways: internship, apprenticeship and direct employment through our employer network, plus business development and financial literacy for those pursuing self-employment.
Through our alumni network, graduates receive ongoing mentorship, current industry insight and community support that sustains workforce participation and career advancement.
Graduates pursuing entrepreneurship receive starter kits, tools and focused support to overcome barriers to entry, converting their skills into marketable services, clients and consistent revenue.
